About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic musician volunteers to play in the lobby of our Kimmel Outpatient Center, enhancing the patient experience as visitors enter and exit the building.

Responsibilities

• Play music in the main lobby of the Kimmel Outpatient Center.
• Enhance the patient experience as visitors enter and exit the building.
• Bring own instruments to volunteer shifts.

Requirements

• Age 16+
• Able to commit to a weekly 2-hour shift for at least 6 months.
• If a former or current MSK patient, must be out of active treatment for at least one year.
• Comfortable performing various music genres in lobby spaces with patients, visitors, and staff passing by.
• Friendly and comfortable engaging with patients, families, and staff.
• Reliable.
• Onboarding must be completed within 4-6 weeks.
• Virtual interview may require performing a piece of music or providing a recording/video.
• 2-3 reference checks.
• Background check & drug screen (18+ only).
• Medical clearance (flu and other immunizations required; at applicant’s expense).
