About the Role
The Busser/Food Runner ensures a seamless dining experience by maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the dining area and promptly delivering food orders. This role supports the front-of-house team by clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, and ensuring accurate and timely food delivery. It requires strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and servers, contributing to smooth restaurant operations. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to anticipate guest and staff needs, creating a welcoming environment and upholding service and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests while maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables promptly and accurately, ensuring correct presentation and order completeness.
- Assist servers by refilling beverages, replenishing condiments, and responding to guest requests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of service stations, dining areas, and restrooms in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate food delivery and address any guest concerns or special requests.
Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
