About the Role

This strategic business development role manages relationships with professional consultants, specifiers, architects, and engineers who specify products for security systems, aiming to maintain and develop the A&E program in Central and Western Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage business relationships with Architects and Engineers (A&E) Program members.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to provide excellent customer service to Program members.
  • Work with the Canadian A&E Manager counterpart to develop and implement a national business strategy.
  • Build the network of A&E Program members through leveraging programs and outreach initiatives.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between Axis Communications and A&E Program members.
  • Collaborate with Sweden and Americas HQ regarding program initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support security specifiers by traveling to job sites, offices, and security conferences/shows.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of the annual A&E Program event.
  • Participate in strategic and partner events with ecosystem and technology partners.
  • Develop and maintain a database of A&E Program members and project opportunities using Salesforce.
  • Consistently create opportunities for program growth through training, education, and business relationship management.
  • Leverage Axis tools like AXIS Site Designer and Autodesk plugins to increase Axis mindshare and specification.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly reports for Canadian and Global A&E management teams.
  • Travel nationally and internationally on short notice.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking Engineering or Information Systems strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ industry experience in customer-facing roles related to engineering, security integration and consulting, system design and application and/or technical sales.
  • Axis Certified Professional (ACP) certification is valued.
  • ASIS Associate Protection Professional (APP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification is valued.

Salary/Compensations

  • $135,000 to $145,000 OTE
