About the Role
The Enterprise Transformation Programme is a multi-year journey focused on transforming the Haleon business, building an organization that is wired for excellence to deliver the ‘Win as One’ strategy and drive growth through continuous improvement. The Business Process Expert partners with Business Process Owners and functional teams to design, govern, and continuously improve end-to-end business processes, enabled through SAP S/4HANA.
Responsibilities
- Shape, measure, and continuously improve process elements to deliver business value.
- Partner with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and other BPEs to manage the current process.
- Define the future end-to-end process vision and roadmap.
- Ensure high-quality, well-controlled, and user-centric processes are created.
- Drive the transition from current state to future state through disciplined execution, strong governance, and effective change delivery.
- Support the BPO in maximizing value delivery through rigorous performance management, adoption oversight, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide process expertise across Group consolidation and external reporting activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise on financial reporting regulatory developments, assessing process implications and leading required redesign activities.
- Partner closely with Sustainability, Finance, Technology, and Internal Controls teams to support ESG reporting requirements.
- Drive the design and optimization of consolidation and external reporting processes within a complex global environment.
- Support the design and enhancement of reporting controls and governance frameworks.
- Assist in maintaining business continuity and operational resilience arrangements for consolidation and external reporting activities.
- Lead root cause analysis and remediation of process, data quality, and reporting issues.
- Act as a trusted partner to Group Finance, External Reporting, Technical Accounting, Sustainability, Internal Controls, Audit, and Technology teams.
- Collaborate with the BPO and relevant function(s)/operating units to ensure design meets requirements and strategic objectives.
- Facilitate workshops to gather input, feedback, and socialize recommendations.
- Collaborate with the BPO to document “to be” processes.
- Support evaluation of “as is” processes identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and duplication.
- Drive decisions through relevant governance forums.
- Align designs with programme timelines and milestones.
- Support the Functional Leader in evaluating the preparedness of their functional area for programme delivery.
- Support the business change team in understanding people implications for the change and defining and delivering relevant interventions.
- Create appropriate documentation for new processes.
- Partner with Training & Adoption team to develop appropriate training/upskilling for colleagues.
- Partner with the Business Continuity Manager to establish and manage interim operating states.
- Collaborate with operational teams to design and implement interim processes.
- Ensure plans are in place to transition from interim states to permanent processes.
- Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively, adapting messaging for different audiences.
- Champion the interest of the process vision, ensuring priorities are reflected in programme decision-making.
- Analyze complex processes, understand workflow patterns, and identify inefficiencies.
- Leverage process knowledge to identify opportunities, work with stakeholders to drive and implement change.
- Apply emerging trends in data flows and information tools.
- Apply knowledge of policies to identify control gaps and design solutions/control measures.
- Review process performance (KPIs and SLAs) and adherence to policies and frameworks.
- Plan, manage, and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with risk management to understand the control environment of business.
- Apply business knowledge for informed decisions, identifying opportunities and aligning ways of working.
- Leverage external, regulatory, and competitor learnings.
- Redesign operating procedures and develop policies and systems.
- Inspire, energize, and motivate their team to achieve shared goals.
- Build strong collaborative team connections.
- Evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives, analyze potential outcomes, take calculated risks, and make decisions.
- Identify the need for change, execute structured change management strategies, guide teams through uncertainty and disruption, and maintain operational stability.

Requirements
- Deep expertise in financial consolidation, statutory and external reporting, Group accounting policies, and financial reporting controls.
- Ability to translate evolving business, regulatory, and reporting requirements into scalable, efficient, and well-controlled processes.
- Strong technical understanding of how financial data is generated, validated, aggregated, and consumed across General Ledger, sub-ledgers, consolidation platforms, and external reporting processes.
- 10+ years of extensive experience in Group consolidation, statutory reporting, and external reporting within a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements and financial statement production processes.
- Experience designing and operating SOX-compliant reporting processes and control frameworks.
- Understanding of ESG reporting requirements and the interaction between sustainability reporting and financial reporting processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior Finance, Sustainability, Technology, and Internal Control leaders.
- Experience in large-scale process transformation, ERP or reporting system implementations, and process standardization initiatives is an advantage.
