About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and observant Security Patrol Officer to perform regular patrols—by foot and/or vehicle—of assigned properties to ensure the safety, security, and compliance of the premises. The role is integral to identifying potential threats, preventing property damage, and providing a visible deterrent to trespassing and unauthorized activity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned property.
  • Monitor and report on the overall status and condition of the property.
  • Identify and address trespassing, suspicious activity, and unauthorized persons.
  • Report maintenance issues and safety or liability concerns, such as trip hazards or broken infrastructure.
  • Observe and report incidents of vandalism or property damage.
  • Monitor tenant compliance with lease terms and property regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
  • Accurately document all incidents, observations, and actions in daily activity reports.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid California driver’s license (for vehicle patrol positions).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong observational and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • May be exposed to outdoor conditions including inclement weather.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
