About the Role

The successful candidate will contribute to the development, delivery, and impact of research, training, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement activities within a dynamic interdisciplinary research environment at the Centre for Online Safety, Safeguarding, Privacy and Identity (COSPI).

Responsibilities

  • Identify funding opportunities.
  • Support the preparation of research grant applications.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of research projects.
  • Undertake questionnaire design, data collection, and analysis.
  • Conduct research interviews.
  • Support stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and deliver school-based training and CPD programmes.
  • Undertake project administration.
  • Contribute to knowledge exchange and impact activities that enhance the work of COSPI.

Requirements

  • Hold a postgraduate qualification in Sociology, Criminology, or a very relevant discipline.
  • Experience of social science research.
  • Keen interest in debates surrounding online safety.
  • Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience of funding applications is advantageous.
  • Experience of training development is advantageous.
  • Experience of project coordination is advantageous.
  • Experience working within a higher education or research environment is advantageous.
