About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the development, delivery, and impact of research, training, knowledge exchange, and stakeholder engagement activities within a dynamic interdisciplinary research environment at the Centre for Online Safety, Safeguarding, Privacy and Identity (COSPI).
Responsibilities
- Identify funding opportunities.
- Support the preparation of research grant applications.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of research projects.
- Undertake questionnaire design, data collection, and analysis.
- Conduct research interviews.
- Support stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and deliver school-based training and CPD programmes.
- Undertake project administration.
- Contribute to knowledge exchange and impact activities that enhance the work of COSPI.
Requirements
- Hold a postgraduate qualification in Sociology, Criminology, or a very relevant discipline.
- Experience of social science research.
- Keen interest in debates surrounding online safety.
- Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience of funding applications is advantageous.
- Experience of training development is advantageous.
- Experience of project coordination is advantageous.
- Experience working within a higher education or research environment is advantageous.
