About the Role
To work as part of a team in a sensitive cemetery environment carrying out physical work relating to burials, gardening, and other operational activities across the service’s four cemeteries in accordance with Council policies, standards, procedures, legal requirements, and professional codes of practice, under the supervision of qualified officers.
Responsibilities

- Working in accordance with Council policies, standards, procedures, legal requirements and professional codes of practice
- Occasional purchasing within Corporate limits for self-authorisation, using established contracts or purchasing cards (one oral quotation) after qualification
Requirements
- Must be able to work 36 hours per week
- Occasional requirement to work outside normal office hours as required by line manager
- Must provide a supporting statement explaining how criteria are met (no more than x2 A4 sides)
- Must remove all personal information from uploaded documents for anonymised recruitment
- May be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
