About the Role
The Software Developer Co-Op writes front-end and back-end code that drives ITRG products. This role offers hands-on experience within a product development team, contributing to production code and learning from Senior Developers to strengthen technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities
- Completes development coding and testing using Ruby on Rails.
- Participates in sprint and feature planning sessions; analyzes product vendor requirements and helps design technical solutions.
- Participates in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a College Diploma or University Degree program with an active co-op component
- Some programming experience through academic, personal, or hobby projects
- Ability to program in at least one language (experience with Ruby on Rails is not required).
- Basic familiarity with web development concepts and practices.
- Ability to work effectively within project teams and contribute to shared goals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and project owners.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
