About the Role
Save the Children Canada is seeking a Director, Partnerships and Impact to lead the strategic and operational development and oversight of its domestic and international programming portfolio. This role involves collaborating with senior management to enhance efficiency, cultivating strategic partnerships within the SCI/A movement and externally, and driving revenue growth within the program portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine the Partnerships and Impact’s Department strategy and plans in alignment with SCC’s strategic goals.
- Lead the articulation of the Departmental strategy and plans, inclusive of international and domestic programming.
- Monitor the implementation of the Departmental strategy and plans using results-based performance metrics.
- Manage and allocate resources across the Department to effectively deliver on strategies and plans.
- Develop and maintain partnerships that enhance SCC’s value as a Member organization.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key Save the Children Members and Save the Children International (SCI) Centre, and Regional and Country Directors.
- Oversee the development, execution, and maintenance of institutional account strategies, plans and targets.
- Collaborate with the External Engagement team to pursue strategic partnerships with the private sector.
- Strengthen existing program partnerships within the sector in Canada and cultivate new, non-traditional program partnerships.
- Oversee and drive revenue growth within the portfolio with institutional donors.
- Lead the analysis of systems and procedures across the Domestic and International Program portfolio management and implement improvements.
- Oversee the execution of the portfolio targets, including revenue, impact, reach and budget.
- Lead assigned team/department providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Set clear team and individual performance expectations for productivity, quality, and success.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization through active participation in SCC’s Leadership Team.
- Oversee budget management, recruitment, change management and career development.
- Ensure regular and transparent communication on strategy and policies.
- Uphold SCC’s Code of Conduct, Policies, Leadership Charter, Reconciliation, Equity, Anti-Racism, Diversity, Inclusion (READI), Health and Safety standards.
- Integrate Child Safeguarding practices, model competencies, and professional and ethical behaviour.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of management experience in International Development, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sectors is required.
- Experience working in countries of operation is preferred.
- People management experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Experience working with institutional donors in Canada including Global Affairs Canada.
- Experience with Public/Private Partnerships will be considered a strong asset.
- Experience with child rights strategy development and programming in areas of Health, Education, Child Protection, Gender Equality, and/or Livelihoods.
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated project management experience for task execution.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines.
- Displays analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated adaptability to support change management.
- Applies judgment and make sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations.
- Ability to occasionally travel locally, nationally and internationally (less than 10%) as required.
Skills

- $118,530.13 - $142,235.71 CAD
