About the Role
Provide safety and security to clients' employees, guests, customers, and property. Survey and assess potential risks and threats, enforce rules and procedures, and support client safety teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an orderly post and remain at post unless directed otherwise.
- Maintain situational and tactical awareness throughout the shift.
- Remain alert, prepared, and follow safety and security protocols.
- Report unusual activity or suspected safety risks promptly.
- Respond actively and consistently to incidents based on the situation and potential safety risk.
- Respond to workplace violence incidents using appropriate force.
- Act appropriately during extreme weather, natural disasters, structural emergencies, and fires.
- Assist in evacuations by directing employees to evacuation points.
- Photograph suspicious persons, vehicles, or situations and distribute as required.
- Assist law enforcement in investigations as requested.
- Display a welcoming and positive attitude, exercising dignity and respect when interacting with clients, guests, and team members.
Requirements
- Active duty or retired certified New York law enforcement officer in good standing.
- Maintain required certifications and licenses based on current duty status.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Capability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities quickly and effectively.
