About the Role
Shape the story and strengthen the impact of London services by building a bold, proactive communications approach. This role will set the direction for communications, identify opportunities, shape narratives, strengthen reputation, and ensure services are visible, trusted, and understood.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead a pan-London communications strategy.
- Act as the central communications partner across 12 services.
- Advise senior leaders on communication opportunities, risks and priorities.
- Build strong relationships with commissioners, partners and operational teams.
- Identify and develop stories that demonstrate the impact of our services.
- Lead communications for events, launches and major service updates.
- Create clear, accessible content for a wide range of audiences.
- Work with our media agency and Central Communications Team to raise the profile of services.
- Ensure communications are consistent with our brand, values and tone of voice.
- Use insight and data to strengthen future communications activity.
Requirements
- Experience leading communications across multiple sites, services or regions.
- A strong track record of developing and delivering communications strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to adapt your style for different audiences.
- Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
- Strong planning skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Sound judgement and the ability to work at pace.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently.
- Experience within health, social care, the charity sector or public services would be valuable.
- Experience using digital platforms, emerging communication tools or AI would be valuable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must be able to travel regularly across London.
