About the Role

Nationwide's Property and Casualty team is seeking a passionate individual to innovate and simplify processes, providing exceptional customer value. This role is crucial for deepening agency relationships and driving profitable growth within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Understands strategic and operational goals of assigned territory and distribution partners to identify mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Proactively identifies and implements actions to achieve territory goals.
  • Leads new business and transfer processes, including appointment identification, expectation setting, and managing commitments.
  • Leverages tools and resources to increase operational efficiency.
  • Gathers distribution partner feedback and shares continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with personal lines, farm geography partners, claims, and servicing teams on problem-solving and education.
  • Completes annual planning processes and holds partners accountable to agreements.
  • Partners with Product, Marketing, and other business partners to identify and act on territory opportunities.
  • Leads portfolio management meetings with distribution partners to ensure alignment with territory goals.
  • Monitors portfolio data and analysis to drive profitability and revenue through assigned relationships.

Requirements

  • Must live within the assigned territory.
  • Requires frequent travel throughout the territory.
  • Requires regular, in-person engagement with agency partners.
  • Strong background in the independent agency distribution channel.
  • Carrier-side sales management experience; combination of carrier and agency-side experience is ideal.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence.
  • Track record of success in building results.
  • Does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • Does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Work Type

  • Frequent travel required with potential for overnight stays.

Experience Level

  • Typically eight to ten years of sales or sales management experience.
  • Prior property casualty or financial services experience desirable.

Education Level

  • Undergraduate studies in general business, insurance, sales, marketing or related fields; degree preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,000.00-$201,000.00
  • $108,000.00 - $162,000.00
