About the Role

Citi is seeking Summer Interns for the Corporate Banking team in Sydney. This program offers hands-on experience in financial services, client relationship management, and complex transaction execution, with a path to a Graduate Analyst Program for top performers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform credit analysis and transaction stewardship to facilitate corporate lending.
  • Review, interpret, and analyse financial statements.
  • Review legal documentation.
  • Manage the client portfolio and credit exposures.
  • Engage in structured projects.
  • Develop, structure, and execute high-profile transactions.
  • Support senior coverage bankers in researching industry trends and curating thought leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams to deliver the Citi platform to clients for capital raising, payment facilitation, risk hedging, and strategic advice.

Requirements

  • Penultimate or final year student with strong academic achievement.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge in finance and accounting.
  • Adaptability and resilience to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capacity to multi-task.
  • Intellectual curiosity and proactive eagerness to learn.
  • Keen interest in banking and financial markets.
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to accurate and high-quality work product.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Competent PowerPoint and Excel skills (desirable, not essential).
  • Dedication to learning, developing, and adapting is vital.
  • Must include an updated CV (including ATAR/GPA/WAM), cover letter addressed to Citi, and academic transcript.
  • ATAR score is required to be included in the CV or as a separate document.
