About the Role
As an Experiential Events Manager at Pogo, you will own conferences, dinners, and in-person events as core growth channels. You will manage a high volume of events year-round, end-to-end, from logistics and project management to evaluating their success and bringing creative, memorable activations to Pogo's in-person presence.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end logistics for conference and event programs, including venues, vendors, travel, materials, staffing, and follow-up.
- Build and maintain relationships with event organizers, venues, and partners.
- Evaluate the ROI for every event to determine effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Contribute creative input for Pogo's in-person presence, including event displays, dinner menus, and swag.
- Design creative, experiential activations that make Pogo stand out to a niche audience of insights and research leaders.
- Travel up to 2 times a month to ensure high-priority events run smoothly.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure events convert.
- Run guerrilla marketing experiments to gain attention at key events.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience in conference servicing, field marketing, experiential programs, or events at a tech company or creative agency.
- Strong operations and project management skills to handle multiple events with numerous details.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, particularly with event hosts, to secure optimal slots, partnerships, and venues.
- Possess great taste and creative instinct, caring about the look and feel of all event components.
- Ability to honestly evaluate spend and make decisions to cut underperforming initiatives.
- Operate autonomously, identifying conferences and vendors without direct guidance.
- Willingness to travel up to 2 times a month, primarily within the US.
- Actively use AI tools in workflows.
