About the Role

Otis is seeking an NVQ Level 4 qualified Tester / Technician to ensure new lift, escalator, and travelator installations are tested and compliant. This role involves providing technical support and training to other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Testing and commissioning complex multi-unit sites with technical interfaces like Compass and Elevator Management System (EMS).
• Managing other test engineers on multi-unit sites for safe and efficient testing and commissioning.
• Providing on-site technical support to up-skill other test engineers.
• Auditing test and EN81 (compliance) handover paperwork.
• Liaising with clients during testing of large multi-unit sites.
• Attending commissioning meetings as required.
• Assisting with new bids for special technical requirements.
• Undertaking quality readings upon project completion.
• Ensuring a seamless handover from New Equipment to Service.
• Supporting Service with technical issues during the Quality Operating Period and on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in Lift and/or Escalator Industry Testing.
• Good knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles.
• Familiarity with relevant Lift Codes such as EN81 Part 2.
• IT Literate with MS Excel and MS Outlook abilities.
