About the Role

Perform routine duties related to the preparation, service, delivery, cleaning, and sanitation of food and food service areas for patients, employees, and visitors while upholding the organization's values of integrity, patient-centered care, respect, accountability, and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, and break down stations on the patient tray line, cafeteria, special functions, or dish/pot room.
• Safely operate all equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Operate dish machines and sanitize dishes, utensils, and food carts.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize pots, pans, and cutlery.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris according to schedule.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Prepare, wash, and portion vegetables, fruits, salads, desserts, and beverages.
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions.
• Inventory, deliver, rotate, and store bulk nourishment items.
• Prepare, transport, and deliver patient meal trays.
• Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and resource utilization.

Requirements

• Ability to follow established schedules and procedures.

Experience Level

• Previous food service experience is desirable but not required.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
