About the Role
The Baillie Group is seeking a Lumber Stacker / General Laborer for their Cayuta, NY facility. This is a full-time, permanent position with a world-class hardwood lumber manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Identify sort numbers for carts.
- Pull boards into correct carts according to sort numbers.
- Pile boards with specific criteria: top, bottom, and outside boards must be the longest.
- Ensure all edges are free of knots, wane, writing, and other defects.
- Build square bundles with edge boards against cart pipes.
- Build each bundle until full and finish with a top layer.
- Push out finished bundles for forklift removal.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred.
- Previous experience as an entry level worker is preferred.
- Previous experience working on a farm is a plus.
