About the Role

As the Assistant Technical Services Manager based in Sydney, you will work as part of a technical services team to deliver exceptional services to our client’s portfolio of buildings in Australia & New Zealand. This position is varied and at times hands on, requiring interaction with all levels of the organization and the public. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly, pleasant, and energetic personality with a passion for providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to building and user technical issues
  • Manage planned, predictive, and corrective works
  • Administer quality assurance and monitor outsourced critical works vendors
  • Review maintenance/service practices of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire contractors
  • Coordinate, review, and report on capacity and utilization for office tenancy
  • Manage engineering regulatory compliance for the portfolio of buildings
  • Provide incident management support, including 24/7 on-call duties
  • Support installation, commissioning, and programming of new office spaces
  • Submit technical reports for portfolio objectives, meetings, and performance
  • Govern as-built drawings and OEM information
  • Produce and manage MOPS/SOPS/EOPS
  • Manage and support the lifecycle asset management program
  • Develop and implement innovation programs and processes to reduce utility costs and increase productivity
  • Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives
  • Review maintenance reports and action performance issues
  • Manage and support smart buildings and client initiatives
  • Support sustainability & EHS initiatives
  • Collaborate with the wider team to meet client needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an engineering or facilities environment
  • Thorough understanding of building services design and engineering management
  • Ability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency/improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Resilient with a high focus on achieving goals
  • High energy and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to adapt in a fast-paced working environment and meet changing client needs
