About the Role
As the Assistant Technical Services Manager based in Sydney, you will work as part of a technical services team to deliver exceptional services to our client’s portfolio of buildings in Australia & New Zealand. This position is varied and at times hands on, requiring interaction with all levels of the organization and the public. The ideal candidate should possess a friendly, pleasant, and energetic personality with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Respond to building and user technical issues
- Manage planned, predictive, and corrective works
- Administer quality assurance and monitor outsourced critical works vendors
- Review maintenance/service practices of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire contractors
- Coordinate, review, and report on capacity and utilization for office tenancy
- Manage engineering regulatory compliance for the portfolio of buildings
- Provide incident management support, including 24/7 on-call duties
- Support installation, commissioning, and programming of new office spaces
- Submit technical reports for portfolio objectives, meetings, and performance
- Govern as-built drawings and OEM information
- Produce and manage MOPS/SOPS/EOPS
- Manage and support the lifecycle asset management program
- Develop and implement innovation programs and processes to reduce utility costs and increase productivity
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives
- Review maintenance reports and action performance issues
- Manage and support smart buildings and client initiatives
- Support sustainability & EHS initiatives
- Collaborate with the wider team to meet client needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an engineering or facilities environment
- Thorough understanding of building services design and engineering management
- Ability to identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency/improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Resilient with a high focus on achieving goals
- High energy and thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to adapt in a fast-paced working environment and meet changing client needs
