About the Role
Hymix is seeking a reliable, committed, and safety-focused Concrete Plant Operator to join their team in Springwood. This role involves operating plant machinery, managing stock, coordinating with drivers and dispatch, and ensuring product quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Front-End Loader (FEL)
- Carry out stocktaking of raw materials and other stocks
- Work with dispatch and drivers to achieve efficient starting, finishing, and meal & rest times for drivers
- Maintain the yard
- Organize and liaise with allocations regarding raw material deliveries
- Perform minor plant maintenance
- Operate the plant
- Balance customer needs and fleet allocation through effective planning and decision making to ensure maximum fleet productivity, utilization, and efficiency
- Manage and monitor orders to ensure delivery and products meet quality requirements
Requirements
- Motivated individual that takes initiative
- Enjoys a varied role and travelling between sites
- Eagerness to learn about all details relating to concrete plant operation and plant maintenance
- Physically able to complete manual labour where required
- Works well with a small team
- Team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure
- Natural problem solver who enjoys planning and troubleshooting
- Reliable transport and Australian Driver’s License (P platers accepted)
