About the Role

This role focuses on leading regional marketing growth strategies and supporting marketing campaigns and sales efforts within the eastern AMR region. The position requires a deep understanding of the genomics landscape and the ability to develop and execute product market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies translated to operational plans in the AMR East region, focusing on sales growth and profitability.
  • Apply regional market knowledge and customer insights to develop marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities targeting vital local customers.
  • Communicate global messages and manage local deployment plans throughout the AMR East region.
  • Understand regional market trends and opportunities for technology and products, developing strategies coordinated with the central marketing team.
  • Collect, evaluate, react to, and communicate field information to global teams, ensuring customer feedback influences product development strategy and roadmap.
  • Pilot, incubate, iterate profitable local programs/initiatives, and implement global marketing/commercial marketing programs in the region.
  • Implement and maintain consistency of central marketing SOPs, standards, and measurement metrics in the AMR East region.
  • Ensure the company’s core value, brand, ethos, and tone of voice are applied and consistent in the AMR East region, following central marketing guidelines.
  • Create and manage regional marketing activities in collaboration with regional Marketing Operations and Events teams.
  • Identify local demand-generation marketing campaigns to support regional business growth in consultation with commercial leaders and central marketing teams.
  • Support the Marketing Operation team in formulating and monitoring the budget for marketing plan execution.
  • Track and report on marketing campaign results using agreed KPIs.
  • Deliver global and regional-focused sales trainings and programs.
  • Provide regular training and support to regional channel partners and implement marketing channel partner initiatives.
  • Provide local competitor information and sales tools to regional sales teams to help position and sell the company’s product portfolio.
  • Support the creation and/or delivery of marketing materials/collaterals (digital and print; English and/or translated).
  • Attend customer meetings and presentations to support sales.
  • Partner with thought leaders to build and lead collaboration opportunities that support commercial goals.
  • Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities, including expectation management on multiple projects.
  • Perform any other duties as might be required within the remit and responsibilities of the post.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the life science/genomic market in the AMR East region.
  • Market knowledge and experience in LATAM region is helpful.
  • Confirmed marketing experience (5-8+ years) within a life science and/or genomic sequencing industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in the development of strategic and execution of tactical marketing plans.
  • Experience in working with channel partners (such as distributors, dealers etc).
  • Experience working in a global and matrixed environment, with the ability to influence across an organization at all levels.
  • Previous experience in a highly matrixed organization is preferred.
  • Excellent organization and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A passion for driving activities to a high-reaching timescale.
  • A detailed, focused, and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable with travel up to 30-40% within the region.
