About the Role

This role involves leading impactful projects, mentoring Data Scientists, and pioneering innovative AI practices within CommBank and the broader banking industry. The focus is on delivering world-class AI capabilities, particularly in agentic AI and Generative AI, to enhance customer experiences and drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead GenAI and Agentic system design and development, driving the expansion and adoption of Generative AI solutions.
• Develop and implement Machine Learning Models to drive strategic business outcomes.
• Identify AI opportunities and embed AI methodologies into broader banking activities.
• Pioneer the adoption and application of cutting-edge AI and Gen AI capabilities to redefine banking operations and customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to coordinate effectively across the Data Science community.
• Demonstrated capability in driving reusable outcomes.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn, experiment, and lead new concepts.

Skills

• Machine Learning model design and construction
• Generative AI familiarity (prompt engineering, RAG, guardrail design, orchestration)
• Experience with tools like LangChain and LangGraph
• Work on projects leveraging traditional AI, Generative AI, and agentic AI
• Version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub)
• Hands-on experience with data science tools (Spark, Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL)
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline construction
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization and deployment
• Understanding of AWS or Azure Cloud architecture and integration
