About the Role

Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients, acting as the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs to ensure mutual benefit and long-term success. This role involves guiding and growing relationships with large corporate clients in the global energy sector, serving as the primary client interface and delivering strategic financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance.
  • Analyze data from investment portfolios and cash flow to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Research client industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive environments to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Design customized solutions incorporating a range of the bank's products and services.
  • Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions and negotiate beneficial terms.
  • Provide guidance on financial decisions, investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies.
  • Assess and minimize financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships.
  • Document client interactions, transactions, and agreements for transparency and auditability.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics.
  • Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/processes.
  • Deliver continuous improvements and escalate policy/procedure breaches.
  • Define jobs and responsibilities, plan for department's future needs and operations, counsel employees on performance, and contribute to pay decisions (if managing a team).
  • Lead specialists to influence department operations in alignment with strategic and tactical priorities.
  • Create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver excellent standards (if in a leadership role).
  • Act as a subject matter expert and guide technical direction (if an individual contributor).
  • Lead collaborative, multi-year assignments and guide team members.
  • Train, guide, and coach less experienced specialists.
  • Provide information affecting long-term profits, organizational risks, and strategic decisions.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of organization functions to contribute to business goals.
  • Collaborate with other areas for business-aligned support.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought.
  • Adopt and include outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of energy clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client strategies, capital structures, and operating environments.
  • Maintain regular interaction with senior client stakeholders.
  • Drive client engagement and identify opportunities to expand relationships.

Requirements

  • Ample credit analysis and risk assessment capabilities
  • Confirmed client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience across trade finance and transaction banking products
  • Solid background in corporate lending, including structuring and execution
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% as required
  • FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 licensed
