About the Role

As a Manager, Group Financial Risk (GFR) Business Performance, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive risk governance, business performance and strategic outcomes across Group Financial Risk. This role is ideal for someone with a background in risk management, internal audit, assurance or risk governance who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, providing insights, and helping a large risk function operate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Group Financial Risk to support strategic and operational priorities.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of key risk management, governance and business performance activities.
  • Support domain planning cycles, including PACE, OKRs, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Big Room Planning and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, insights and briefing materials to support decision-making and risk governance.
  • Monitor delivery of strategic initiatives and help manage dependencies across GFR.
  • Support governance forums, executive committees and leadership reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate activities across Risk, Finance, HR and other enterprise stakeholders to ensure alignment against priorities.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen operational effectiveness, risk management practices and business performance across GFR.

Requirements

  • Experience working within Risk Management, Internal Audit, Risk Governance, Credit Risk or Compliance within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance practices and operating rhythms within large organisations.
  • Experience preparing executive reporting, governance papers and strategic insights for senior stakeholders.
  • An ability to connect information from multiple sources, identify themes and provide meaningful business and risk insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing and partnering across diverse groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.
  • A proactive approach, sound judgement and a strong focus on delivery.

Working closely with senior leaders, you'll help ensure GFR remains well governed, aligned to strategic priorities and focused on delivering strong risk outcomes.
