About the Role
The Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team is seeking to add headcount to support the origination and execution of buy-ins, buyouts, and unique transaction structures. This role is crucial for achieving ambitious new business targets and requires exceptional individuals to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Undertake marketing, origination, and execution of new bulk annuity and de-risking opportunities.
- Structure transactions and manage negotiations with trustees, companies, and their advisors.
- Produce high-quality deliverables for clients and senior stakeholders, including checking, review, and delegation to junior team members.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and projects, coordinating colleagues and outsourcing partners.
- Integrate commercial, investment, longevity, pricing, legal, and structuring workstreams into client propositions.
- Develop a strong understanding of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines.
- Cultivate deep relationships with EBCs, trustees, and other key stakeholders beyond transactional interactions.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential transaction issues collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Nurture and energize talent within the team and across the M&G business.
Requirements
- Commercially minded with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and project driving ability.
- Essential knowledge and experience of pension risk transfer transactions (role level is flexible).
- Excellent project and stakeholder management skills (internal and external).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and capture client needs.
- Ambitious and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet multiple strict deadlines.
- Demonstrable leadership and management skills (for more senior roles).
- Familiarity with deal execution activities.
