About the Role

Angle Finance is seeking a strong, commercially minded Collections Team Leader to elevate the Collections function. This leadership role focuses on driving performance, enhancing capability, strengthening accountability, and supporting team growth and operational improvements within a dynamic asset finance environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Collections team.
• Drive team performance, maximizing recoveries and minimizing losses.
• Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to agreed standards, KPIs, and behaviours.
• Collaborate with the Head of Collections and Collections & Recoveries Manager to implement strategies aligned with business goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for team escalations, complex matters, and business queries.
• Identify capability gaps and deliver practical training, coaching, and support.
• Conduct regular QA, account, and activity reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency.
• Utilize data, reporting, and performance insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support change, transformation, and continuous improvement across Collections.
• Foster a team culture focused on performance, accountability, quality, and development.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• A strong track record in collections performance, ideally in financial services, asset finance, or a similar environment.
• Confidence in managing performance, providing feedback, and enhancing team capability.
• Strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to use data and insights to make sound decisions and improve outcomes.
• Experience supporting change, growth, transformation, or process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage escalations calmly and commercially.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, agile, and performance-focused environment.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style with high standards and strong follow-through.
