About the Role
Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join its Real Estate group in San Francisco. The role focuses on managing commercial real estate transactions, due diligence, and closing processes.
Responsibilities
- Order and review title and survey documents
- Review and summarize leases
- Participate in single-site and complex multi-state closings
- Manage due diligence document reviews
- Prepare and manage closing documents and UCC statements
- Coordinate with title companies
- Manage post-closing collection and distribution of materials
- Participate in zoning and land use projects
- Draft checklists, title and survey summaries, and closing instructions
- Prepare initial drafts of transaction documents, leases, SNDAs, estoppels, and loan documents
- Coordinate collection of closing signatures and delivery to escrow
- Prepare entity formations, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions
- Maintain timelines for purchase and sale agreement events
- Prepare closing binders
- Manage workflow of multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Incorporate online tools to increase efficiency
- Train new staff and attorneys
- Perform administrative tasks including file maintenance, scanning, and printing
Requirements
- Strong understanding of legal procedure and legal documents
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks under time constraints
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to proofread for grammatical and typographical errors
- Established record of punctuality and attendance
- Extensive research and title review experience
- Ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 10 pounds
