About the Role
Successful candidates will perform a wide variety of HVAC repair, installation, and maintenance tasks in residential and commercial markets. This position offers potential for growth within a family-owned company and requires a high level of customer service, teamwork, safety, timeliness, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Service air conditioning and heating systems in residential and commercial environments in accordance with current codes.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems courteously, professionally, timely, and accurately.
- Identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks.
- Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions, resolve problems, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Promote products and services to customers.
- Produce and maintain organized records and reports.
- Maintain company vehicle in clean and proper working order with an organized inventory of HVAC repair necessities.
- Ensure company tools are used safely, maintained properly, and accounted for.
- Possess own tools to perform repair/installation and maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activities.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug/alcohol test.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Efficient time-management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with national, state, and local HVAC code regulations.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from a trade/vocational school HVAC program or other construction-related program preferred.
- EPA 608 Certification.
- Physical ability to work in ceilings, crawl spaces, chases, and other confined work areas.
