About the Role
The Sales Management role is responsible for acquiring new customers, working closely with Business Development and Account Management.
Responsibilities
- Sales of complex software solutions for analysis in the environment of authorities and organizations with a focus on internal and external security.
- Responsibility for achieving revenue and profit targets.
- Identification and development of new business opportunities and potentials, including building and expanding the customer network.
- Maintenance and expansion of existing customer relationships.
- Development of strategic partnerships at management level with all relevant decision-makers.
- Creation of individual offers and support in the analysis, evaluation, and response to tender documents.
- Presentation of solutions and offers to customers together with subject matter experts and participation in customer events.
- Development and implementation of measures to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Close and coordinated collaboration with project managers and subject matter experts.
- Creation and execution of sales strategies for the responsible account in collaboration with the sales, product management, and marketing teams.
- Direct reporting line to the Head of Business Development & Sales.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in sales and account management.
- Ideally, experience in the market segment of authorities (internal and external security) and with software solutions in the area of analysis and evaluation.
- Good to very good understanding of IT systems and IT landscapes in the defense sector.
- Experience with public tenders and negotiation of complex contracts.
- Professional handling of CRM systems and software-supported data analysis for customer relationship management.
- Strong sales orientation, negotiation skills, and assertiveness in communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Successful completion of a technical or scientific degree ((business) informatics or comparable degree program) or a comparable vocational training with corresponding professional experience.
- Willingness for continuous learning and further education.
- Willingness for regular national and, on occasion, international business trips (50-75%).
- Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) and good English language skills (at least B2 level) in speaking and writing.
