About the Role
Lead Hardware Server Platform development and delivery for Azure’s cloud technologies and services, transforming new hardware concepts into scalable solutions. This role is crucial for supporting the explosive growth and innovation of Microsoft Azure by ensuring timely, high-quality, and high-volume deployment of new hardware infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead a virtual team of functional leads to document a clear Plan-of-Record (POR) for new product development and guide the project team to meet milestones.
- Drive the development, planning, and execution of a holistic cross-functional product development and/or launch strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and identify technical risks.
- Collaborate with internal and external technology development partners to form a cohesive development plan.
- Understand product technical requirements, milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies to establish an accurate project infrastructure.
- Leverage experience and engineering skills to solve problems, fill gaps, and achieve objectives through a cross-functional team.
- Communicate and escalate risks and dependencies, ensuring timely decisions.
- Hold accountability for team deliverables and best-in-class architecture solutions.
- Conduct risk management efforts, including scenario planning, mitigation, and recovery.
- Communicate with and interact regularly with senior management, highlighting risks and providing recommendations for product decisions.
- Operate effectively in ambiguity, applying process where it creates value and designing process where needed.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment, generating clarity, tracking development milestones, and ensuring readiness for all new Data Center infrastructure development, launch, and deployments.
- Use program management tools and communication methods to ensure common understanding of the program plan of record to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Salary/Compensations
- USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year (U.S. typical base pay range)
- USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area)
