About the Role
CoreCivic is seeking a Security Monitor I, Community Corrections who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in a residential setting. This role is responsible for the supervision of the facility population including safety, security, and facility sanitation, providing care, custody, and control of residents to establish a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor resident population and report suspicious activities or violations.
- Conduct resident counts, searches, room inspections, and vehicle searches.
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing as needed.
- Process residents for intake/discharge.
- Monitor resident worker activities, provide instruction, and apply standards for work completion.
- Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters, including basic emergency medical aid and CPR.
- Physically remove people from dangerous situations and secure/evacuate confined areas.
Requirements
- Must be available to work any hours, any shift.
- Must complete pre-service and other training programs as required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to complex issues.
