About the Role
Howard Hanna Mortgage seeks a full-time Mortgage Loan Processor.
Responsibilities
- Review application package for required program disclosures and Company, Agency, Investor, RESPA and ECOA compliance.
- Maintain open communication with the applicant, assisting with questions and notifying of additional document requirements.
- Notify borrowers and Finance Manager of underwriting decisions and conditions required before title transfer.
- Send approval letters to all relevant parties, including borrower, finance manager, and selling realtor.
- Copy credit package and prepare the file for the closing department, ensuring insurance information is included.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline record and update all loans in process.
- Collaborate with post-closers to meet investor requirements for loan purchase completion.
- Work with the Operations Manager to maintain updated QC reports, make necessary corrections, and submit for review.
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor and/or management.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of mortgage banking experience, preferably in loan processing.
- Experience processing files in New York State.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and staff to solve problems and contribute to the team.
- Manage workload and meet deadlines.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and phone)
- Strong analytical skills with aptitude for figures
- Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple duties
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and data entry
