About the Role
The Cook position is located in a school setting and involves preparing and serving food according to menu and recipe standards. This role offers opportunities to learn culinary skills for career advancement within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety standards are followed.
- Cook and prep food correctly based on recipes and specifications.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely food preparation for service.
- Maintain a clean working environment and assist with cleaning duties.
- Keep the work area stocked and organized.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be flexible and team-oriented.
- 1 year of line cook or culinary experience.
- Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness.
- Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
- Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission.
- Must be able to work in a school environment.
