About the Role

The Server/Bartender is responsible for the complete set up of the dining and bar area, serving and mixing drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, ensuring quality service, and managing liquor inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests, managers, and employees.
  • Set up the bar according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails according to mixing and presentation standards.
  • Serve guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Break down the bar, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment according to standards.
  • Follow all state liquor laws.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services and facilities.
  • Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.
  • Follow procedures for serving liquor to prevent issues with intoxicated guests.
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents.
  • Maintain knowledge of fire exit and extinguisher locations and operation.
  • Keep bar and service areas clean and tidy.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability including long hours.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Demonstrate initiative in anticipating guest and operational needs.
  • Availability: Monday-Wednesday PM.

Experience Level

  • Experience in hotel or a related field preferred.

Education Level

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
