About the Role
The Maintenance Technician performs essential duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain property and equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain property equipment, fixtures, and mechanics
- Respond to maintenance requests from management, staff, and residents
- Perform inspections of cottages, buildings, and common areas
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Keep the maintenance room in neat condition
- Perform electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and required paperwork
- Prepare vacant rooms or cottages for new guests including carpentry, drywall, painting, and staining
- Ensure the property is clean, orderly, and guest-ready
- Provide regular and reliable attendance
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a maintenance role
- Valid driver's license may be required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day
- Ability to lift or move items weighing over fifty pounds
- All-Hands-On-Deck mindset for cross-functional tasks
Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic electrical ability
- Basic HVAC knowledge of boilers and forced air furnaces
- Basic plumbing skills
