About the Role
This customer service and sales role is responsible for providing excellent service while ensuring a healthy and safe work environment. As a Sales Associate, you will contribute to Goodwill's mission by supporting the success of the donated goods retail business, helping to create jobs and opportunities within the community, and promoting environmental sustainability through the reuse and recycling of donated goods.
Responsibilities
- Provide world-class customer service by helping customers, answering questions, and sharing your passion of our mission on the sales floor.
- Support with cashier responsibilities at the cash register with customer purchases.
- Help to keep the store look clean, organized, safe and full of fresh store items.
- Maintain acceptable product standards.
- Follow Goodwill’s Policies and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Contribute to teamwork with added activities.
- Merchandising, learning how to organize and display items on sales floor.
- Ensure a constant flow of processed goods onto the sales floor.
- Place merchandise in the correct location according to department, category and sales floor layout
Requirements
- Enthusiastic attitude: excited to work with other people and teams.
- Flexibility: able to work at different times, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Communication: clear and effective interacting with team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math i.e. counting, adding and subtraction.
