About the Role

As a Software Engineering Team Lead, you will lead a team of developers in agile Scrum teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will drive technical excellence, coach and mentor team members, and collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize and implement requirements. This role involves guiding the team through the entire software development lifecycle, supporting architectural decisions, and shaping technical strategy for effective and sustainable solutions. You will also be responsible for HR processes including recruiting, feedback, and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers in agile Scrum teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote technical excellence and collaboration within and between teams through coaching and mentoring.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to prioritize requirements and ensure their implementation.
  • Guide the team through the entire software development lifecycle: from requirements, design, and architecture to development, testing, and operations.
  • Support architectural decisions and shape the technical strategy to develop effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Take responsibility for HR processes such as recruiting, feedback discussions, and career development of team members.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed a university or technical college degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Initial leadership experience in software development, preferably also in a technical leadership role, e.g., as a Senior Developer.
  • Comprehensive experience in developing scalable business applications and digital products, ideally in the context of SaaS, platform, or cloud solutions.
  • Analytical approach to effectively solve technical problems and clear communication of complex concepts.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills in German and English (negotiation level).
  • Experience with agile working methods.
