Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to develop cost estimates, ensuring accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. of Trane materials, sub-contractors, non-Trane purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities.
• Provide technical selection and pricing of equipment for each project.
• Offer estimating support to the equipment sales team.
• Provide knowledge and consultation by developing facility-related solutions for customer problems.
• Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customer HVAC system design and installation requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and discuss possible solutions with the project team and customer.
• Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services for each project.
• Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary and/or final proposals.
• Prepare equipment submittals and validate equipment selection.
• Assist in determining proposal price, selling strategy, and developing the project fulfillment schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred.
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and industry-related experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive approach with willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven experience prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
