About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable PART-TIME Delivery Professional to join our team. This position is responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
- Contribute to warehouse operations, assisting in prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Service customers with a friendly and welcoming smile.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must have current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
- Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Previous driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
