About the Role
The Maintenance Technician II will lead a team to ensure a safe and well-maintained store environment, supporting the Facility Manager in daily store readiness. This role involves executing key themes such as ensuring building systems are operational, responding to break-fix requests, and communicating with store leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform on-demand and planned preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to store operations.
- Operate and monitor building controls, critical and non-critical building systems, and associated equipment.
- Perform EMCS command functions, including troubleshooting alarms and verifying building operation.
- Lead equipment and building rounds and readings, identifying, mitigating, and reporting malfunctions.
- Perform manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as parts ordering, PO creation, and vendor management.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures like LOTO and PPE.
- Act as a representative of the facilities business in meetings.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and delegate to/mentor other technicians.
- Assist with technical training of new employees on equipment and building systems.
- Respond to location emergencies.
- Update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with maintenance procedures and equipment records.
- Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate with outside contractors, vendors, and Property Managers/Landlords.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Requirements
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
- Able to perform low voltage signal tracing and troubleshooting of logical devices.
- Able to work without supervision and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with all organizational levels, including written and verbal skills.
- Strong dedication to supporting facilities in a safe, customer-focused manner.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Ability to utilize all Microsoft Office programs and applications at an intermediate level.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours.
- Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. or more.

- High School Diploma/GED
- Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college preferred
Salary/Compensations
- Austin, TX: $20.75 - $34.25 hourly
- San Antonio, TX: $20.75 - $34.25 hourly
