About the Role
Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Utility Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. At Tyson Foods, safety is paramount, encompassing both personal and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
- Documenting and calculating results accurately.
- Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
- Handling additional assignments as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
- Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
- Math and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
- Must function well under stress.
- Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
- Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to work in wet environment.
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling.
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently.
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

- Must reside in the United States to be considered.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date).
- No written warning in the past six (6) months.
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months.
