About the Role
As Advisor, Media + Social Intelligence, you will deliver relevant and meaningful insights on news media coverage that matter to RBC. You’ll be responsible for providing reporting and analysis on traditional news media coverage through a reputational risk and brand enhancement lens, including proactive and reactive news media monitoring and partnering with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and protect RBC’s brand and reputation by actively monitoring a broad range of news media outlets.
- Provide value-added media insights and analysis through the development of coverage reports.
- Contribute to day-to-day media monitoring including real-time tracking and sharing relevant coverage, as well as ad-hoc reports.
- Contribute to the ideation, creation, and delivery of select integrated news media and social media insights reports.
- Contribute to the content and distribution of RBC’s daily media report capturing RBC’s earned media coverage and relevant news.
- Support the distribution of press releases as required.
- Help advance a consistent enterprise-wide approach to storytelling that aligns with, and reinforces RBC’s brand, purpose, values, and strategy.
- Find and establish new ways to track and measure impact, innovating in media reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- Educational and professional background in corporate communications, media relations or public relations.
- A passion for news and a solid grasp of the media landscape across a range of outlets.
- Experience in media monitoring and providing value-add insights and analysis using media monitoring and reporting tools such as Cision, Meltwater and Factiva (or others).
- Experience supporting relationships with key internal partners and vendors.
- Proven ability to find new ways to track and measure impact, such as innovating in media reporting and analysis.
- Experience in supporting proactive and reactive media strategies.
