About the Role

The Global Service Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing multi-site and cross-functional service projects within the healthcare and diagnostics industry. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements, while serving as the central communication hub between Global Service teams and key internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and motivates the project team, maintaining a sense of urgency and accountability in accomplishing project deliverables.
  • Monitors project execution to ensure delivery according to budget, schedule, and scope, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Develops, updates, and communicates detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures (WBS), resource allocation, milestones, and phase-by-phase task timelines; produces regular status reports for stakeholders.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, facilitating clear and timely communication across time zones and functions.
  • Leads project kick-off meetings, standing status reviews, and post-project retrospectives.
  • Identifies and manages project interdependencies - including risks, conflicts, and constraints - and facilitates optimal approaches to address them.
  • Proactively monitors and documents project risks, communicates potential issues to leadership, and drives implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Tracks and reports project budget performance, escalating variances to leadership as appropriate.
  • Works with all relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements.
  • Supports new product introduction (NPI) and service readiness activities for new platforms or market expansions.
  • Assists Quality and Regulatory departments in preparing for, conducting, hosting, and responding to internal and external quality audits.
  • Manages vendor and third-party relationships as required to support project delivery.
  • Ensures all project documentation is maintained and archived in accordance with QMS requirements.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives within Global Service operations.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3+ Years Experience in Service and/or Technical Support operations.
  • 3+ years Experience in an international context in the healthcare and sciences industry, preferably with diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
  • 2+ Years Experience leading cross-functional or international project teams.
  • 1+ Years Familiarity with quality standards and processes (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, EU MDR).
  • 1+ Years Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent.
  • 1+ Years Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
  • 1+ Years Familiarity with change management methodologies and regulatory environments (FDA, MDR, ISO 13485).
