About the Role

As an Intern, Credit Investments, you will provide support to the credit investment teams during all phases of the investment and lending process. You will assist with investment screening, financial modeling, accounting analysis, industry and sector analysis, and transaction due diligence. This role offers the opportunity to participate in the investment decision process, prepare investment recommendation memos, and monitor the post-lending portfolio. You will also support the monitoring of financial markets and the portfolio, and may participate in special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the credit investment teams during all phases of the investment and lending process
  • Assist with investment screening (preparation and presentation)
  • Assist with financial modelling and accounting analysis
  • Assist with industry and sector analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Assist with transaction due diligence
  • Participate in investment decision process
  • Prepare investment recommendation memos
  • Monitor post-lending portfolio
  • Support in monitoring the financial markets and the portfolio
  • Participate in special projects during your internship

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program (or recently completed one)
  • High academic achievement
  • Intermediate to advanced ability with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
  • Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
  • A respect for differences of opinion and an inclusive mindset
  • Interest in Investment Management and Credit as an asset class
  • Effective communications skills and fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Investment and financial statements experience an asset
