About the Role

The Mega Projects/Mobility People Practices Leader serves as the primary People Practices representative within the business, leading a team to drive operational excellence, manager development, team performance, and strategic support. This role focuses on business growth, customer value, workforce strategy, people initiatives, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership development, acting as the key interface with leadership and People Practices COE/SME Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of individuals providing services across the organization, including directly managed and matrixed employees.
  • Align the People Practices team with company and local business objectives.
  • Enhance People Practices team performance.
  • Ensure the team is focused and executing key people practices responsibilities (Recruit, Retain and Develop).
  • Serve as the primary representative for People Practices to the workgroup and vice versa.
  • Facilitate and curate across national, regional, business unit leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Facilitate the execution of People Practices services for both Admin and Craft employee populations.
  • Implement strategies from People Practices COEs including Talent Acquisition, Talent and Learning, Total Rewards, Employer Risk & Employee Relations, Employee Experience, and Organizational Effectiveness.
  • Curate employee experiences that meet business needs and accelerate key People Practices strategies.
  • Facilitate key employee experiences requiring interaction with People Practices team members and other leaders/groups.
  • Oversee orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters and events.
  • Act as the primary feedback mechanism from the workgroup to COE and People Practices Operational Services on design, best practices, policies/processes, and products/services.
  • Provide best practices in executing People Practices initiatives and accelerate adoption of best practices from other regions and workgroups.
  • Facilitate key threads within the People Practices vision, including mental health and wellbeing, inclusion and belonging, and pay and experiential equity.
  • Act as the primary point person and advisor for organizational changes, culture management, and facilitating desired change within the workgroup.
  • Coordinate, manage, and facilitate consultants/facilitators in people and organizational spaces.
  • Serve as lead sponsor and facilitator for leadership, cultural, and onboarding programming.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador for the workgroup.
  • Lead facilitation and oversight of succession planning within the workgroup, including designing succession plans and overseeing transitions.
  • Lead key talent and employee development processes, including performance management and talent reviews.
  • Monitor, sponsor, and ensure good facilitation/participation/design of training and development programs.
  • Conduct data analysis of trends and metrics in partnership with People Practices COE Leads and People Practices Operational Services.
  • Consult and guide leadership on People Practices strategies and objectives.
  • Provide a framework for a workgroup-specific People Practices/Workforce strategy.
  • Develop and facilitate people strategies associated with operation growth and management, from mobilization and talent acquisition to diversity representation and development.
  • Assess employee survey indices and ensure changes are implemented to close gaps and capitalize on organizational strengths.

Requirements

  • 10 years of strong background/experience across multiple functions within Human Resources, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Business Partnering, Organizational and Team Development, DEI, Learning and Talent Development, Talent Management, and Strategic Planning.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong experience/familiarity with HCM Platforms (e.g., Workday) and Workforce Analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI and Qualtrics).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and related administrative practices.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Salary/Compensations

  • $225,000.00-$325,000.00
