About the Role
The Night Operations Assistant supports overnight residence operations by collaborating with Front Desk, Housekeeping, Residence Life, and Public Safety teams. The role ensures a welcoming and safe environment for residents and conference guests, manages after-hours facility concerns, enforces policies, and provides administrative support at the front desk.
Responsibilities
- Support overnight residence operations
- Collaborate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, Residence Life, and Public Safety departments
- Attend to after-hours facility concerns including urgent cleaning and minor repairs
- Perform occasional conference room setups
- Encourage student responsibility for residence cleanliness and maintenance
- Promote building security and community safety expectations
- Enforce residence policies
- Resolve minor maintenance issues
- Develop positive working relationships with staff and departments
- Maintain student and guest information using software applications
- Act as the primary information resource for students, guests, and contractors
- Direct calls, visitors, and contractors to appropriate personnel
Requirements
- Two-year diploma in Hospitality, Law and Security, Social Work, or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance, security, hospitality, or a residential environment
