About the Role
Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Program Manager, Medical & Scientific Affairs to lead key projects and programs for the Medical & Scientific Affairs team. This role is crucial in advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives by developing innovative solutions and accelerating next-generation therapies.
Responsibilities
- Lead key projects and cross-functional teams in the MedSci function, ensuring delivery on time, in scope, and within budget.
- Drive execution of MedSci projects using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools (VPM, VSM, Daily Management, Action Plans) and standard tools (Smartsheet, Miro, Microsoft suite).
- Apply problem-solving principles to resolve critical issues.
- Provide operations support for Medical Affairs objectives, KPIs, and sustainment of existing standard work.
- Partner with internal and external resources to deliver MedSci evidence site effectiveness, Medical insights generation, and reporting on key projects.
- Support the processing of Medical Affairs clinical and medical content for external audiences through internal approval processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific/engineering field with 7+ years of program management experience, OR Advanced degree (PhD, MD) in biological science with 4+ years of program management experience.
- Ability to work independently with the MedSci team and cross-functional partners, consulting department leadership for guidance on complex situations.
- Ability to discern and make balanced decisions and interpret internal or external business issues for best practice recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and willingness to continuously improve.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
