About the Role
Osborne Association serves individuals, families, and communities affected by the criminal justice system, offering opportunities for healing, repair, and thriving. We are seeking a full-time IT Specialist to provide frontline technical support to staff across all Osborne locations, ensuring users can access and utilize technological resources effectively. This role is based in our Brooklyn office.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational office technology systems, including workstations and programs.
- Log and track technological issues using Zendesk.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing prompt communication and resolution.
- Configure endpoint computers for LAN/WAN connectivity.
- Create and maintain network credentials and employee profiles.
- Install new applications and provide user training on updated software.
- Provide general training and one-on-one support to improve employee computer skills.
- Communicate network maintenance schedules and downtime to users.
- Liaise with application vendors for configuration, setup, and support.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors on service or product contracts.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations and cabling layouts.
- Maintain company inventory of computer equipment in Kaseya.
- Ensure adherence to policies for mobile devices and computer equipment.
- Assist with low-voltage cabling and technology-related construction tasks.
- Attend required trainings.
- Travel locally using company vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- At least two years of experience supporting a Windows desktop environment.
- Experience in LAN/WAN environments.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License.
- Ability to maintain a high level of user trust and confidence.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to travel locally between Osborne offices.
- In-person attendance is required to collaborate with co-workers.
