About the Role

The Glen Oaks Club, a premier club in Long Island, NY, is seeking a Part-Time Bartender to provide bar service to Club members and guests, maintaining exceptional standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves drinks to members and guests, ensuring timely service and high customer service standards.
• Processes orders and provides accurate receipts for member signatures.
• Manages bar stock inventory and requisitions necessary supplies.
• Adheres to bar sanitation procedures to meet Health Department regulations.
• Stocks glassware and reports any shortages to management.
• Performs bar opening and closing duties, including side work.
• Assists with happy hour buffet setup as needed.
• Takes cocktail orders on the floor when necessary.
• Handles member complaints and issues professionally.
• Assists with food orders at the outdoor dining outlet.
• Ensures proper pour and quantity of liquor and wine.
• Assists with inventory as directed by the Beverage Manager.
• Communicates courteously and professionally with members, colleagues, and management.
• Conforms to all club regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel/resort, or club is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Inventory control and reordering skills.
• Ability to work unusual hours, including weekends and holidays.
