About the Role
The Comfort Advisor is a critical role supporting HomeServe’s goal to dramatically increase installation revenue growth within the Energy Services business. This position will collaborate with various organizations to develop and execute sales strategies that will result in increased market share for heating and cooling installation volumes. The role comes with a combination of base salary and uncapped commissions, with an average expected earning of $115,000 - $165,000+ per year based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to sell Installation and future products to residential customers, homeowner organizations, professional organizations, small commercial or other targeted clients within assigned territory.
- Identify and conduct follow-up on leads generated through professional organizations, trade shows, community events, technicians, advertising, and other lead generating techniques.
- Conduct post sale follow-up by contacting customer(s) to ensure service expectations are being met and to generate referrals.
- Make sales presentations and proposals to prospects, identifying positive features and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.
- Help develop appropriate sales process and collateral for closing leads generated by demand marketing, call center and field engineers.
- Conduct market analysis to determine HomeServe USA competitive position regarding products, pricing, and service levels for areas of responsibility.
- Uncover and leverage customer and competitor insights to enhance product offering and enhance customer value.
- Responsible for the success and profitability of both product sales and installation.
- Attend all training sessions required by the company.
- Assure system documentation of all jobs.
- Establish and coordinate subcontractor installation activities while maintaining a professional business relationship.
- Utilize manufacturers and vendors to support complex installations.
- Utilize ESS sales proposal software for standard jobs. For non-standard jobs, consult the supervisor or area manager for proper pricing.
- Ensure that all required paperwork for financing is completed and submitted as required.
- Submit all necessary paperwork in a timely manner to ensure that equipment is ready for scheduled installation date.
- Coordinate new installation, including site visits and customer education.
- Visit or place follow-up call after every installation to confirm customer satisfaction and obtain new referrals.
- Perform in-home assessments to determine customer HVAC needs.
- Provide quotes, pricing, recommendations, and estimates based upon assessment.
- Educate customers with a pleasant attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage and maintain sales metrics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Competency in MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time within market
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess strong communication, negotiation, and sales skills; can close the deal
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals
