About the Role
The Director of Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for strategic corporate cultivation and stewardship agency-wide, including increasing sponsor revenue across all of Housing Works’ signature events and developing engagement strategies to increase non-sponsor dollars. This role collaborates with various departments to manage corporate donor relationships, ensure meaningful engagement, and drive retention and growth of sponsor revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manage an existing portfolio of major corporate donors, focusing on soliciting and closing renewals and identifying new corporate prospects.
- Develop and implement effective sales and engagement strategies to retain and increase corporate sponsorship revenue across signature fundraising events and initiatives.
- Create detailed sponsor pipelines for each event, including solicitation timelines.
- Identify new partners through comprehensive prospect research and management.
- Integrate corporate volunteer engagement, leading outreach to new prospects and managing engagement experiences.
- Activate corporate matching gifts and grant opportunities.
- Deepen and increase support from existing vendor relationships, particularly in healthcare, finance, and real estate industries.
- Collaborate with program teams to identify new corporate visibility opportunities outside of fundraising events.
- Collaborate with social enterprise businesses to develop visibility opportunities and cultivate vendor partners.
- Develop compelling collateral to communicate corporate engagement opportunities.
- Ensure partner visibility in all marketing and communications and develop new creative ways to elevate partner visibility.
- Collaborate with the Data team to ensure partner information is updated in Salesforce.
- Assist with developing all event budgets and revenue targets.
- Manage logistics of all corporate partnerships, including invoicing and payments.
- Actively contribute to event production needs related to corporate involvement.
- Attend networking events to broaden network and foster lead generation.
- Participate in all on-site event productions.
- Produce detailed reporting and analysis for all event sponsorship revenue and KPIs.
- Contribute to other Development team activities as needed.
Requirements
- BA/BS required.
- A minimum of 5 years of donor relationship management experience, preferably with a corporate portfolio.
- Strong sales/development experience with a demonstrated record of success in closing gifts.
- Skill and experience in strategic planning, setting goals, and managing performance.
- Must possess and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and relevant CSR trends.
- Superior communications skills, including leading presentations to diverse audiences.
- Creative critical thinker with demonstrated ability to maintain accountability, work independently and creatively while functioning as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong, detail-oriented, organizational and follow-through skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional computer software skills, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to appointments, meetings, conferences, etc. for job-related business.
- Experience with and proven commitment to working with low-income and marginalized communities.
- Experience with and proven commitment to working with individuals with multiple chronic medical and/or behavioral health conditions.
- Must be able to remain in stationary position 75-80% of the time.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and/or traverse work locations.
- Constantly operates computer, cell phone and other office equipment.
- Must be able to exchange accurate/concise information in communication situations.
